Tamar Valley: Haymaking.
Baling hay on our hay meadow beside the river Tamar in July 2002 with a 1950s Jones Baler and slightly later Massey Ferguson tractor. The hay is grown without the addition of any chemicals and is full of wild flowers. The meadow is pretty as a picture in May and June, but always looks best to me when it has just been cleared of bales!
My 1972 Commer Karrier Bantam truck comes in useful for carting bales. Thanks to Mr Slaney who was staying in the Count House for these pictures. These pictures copyright Mr Slaney.
