Windsor Chairs: Price information
In the table below are indicative prices of many of the combinations of chair/wood/finish available. Ash is usually OK, and I have the Elm here in stock, however due to the spiralling prices and difficulty of finding suitable "bought in" wood, these prices have to be subject to confirmation for a particular order. If you would like something which is not priced here please send me an email or phone on Ol278 67lO27. There is NO VAT to pay.
I have high quality Elm for seats, and I can thoroughly recommend the extra cost of this beautiful wood. These Elm seats will probably twist a little over the years just like many traditional Windsors, but that's part of the charm, isn't it?
Continuous arm chairs always seem to sell out as soon as I make the bends.
Lath back chairs will shortly be available again as I have made a large batch of curved tops, which I hope will dry out OK.
Please don't treat this price list as a catalogue of what is available. There are as many varieties of Windsor chairs as there are moths. If the chair you want looks something like these, then I can usually make them for something like these prices. Please send me a photo. I always relish a challenge.
I often put the chairs I make on the Chairs available now page. Please have a look to see if there's anything you like .
Back supports with seat extensions are £35 extra.
14 inch or 16 inch refers to the nominal width of the seat at its widest point.
Some other variants of wood combinations and finish are available. Please call Ol278 67lO27
Prices are 'ex workshop' and there is no VAT to pay.
Delivery is free up to 50 miles radius of Bridgwater. Elsewhere I usually do my own deliveries to many areas in England and Wales, and I try to share the cost between several customers. As a rough guide:-
The last chair I tried to send overseas "disappeared", so please see the FAQ page for more information. Frequently Asked Questions
